The Inspiration / Natural Hair

As the warmer weather approaches, so does the desire to re-invent myself. I love change and I get bored of routine so quickly. I’ve gone from relaxed poker straight hair, to natural hair, to orange hair, to a teeny weeny afro and back to an weird auburn, coppery colour (which i’ll do a post on soon enough!). Pinterest has become an obsession of sorts for me when looking for just about anything, and it has been serving me some strong inspirational hair realness these past couple of weeks. From wearing my hair in it’s natural state (i swear i’ll put down my hair straighteners soon!) to trying on head-wraps a la Erykah Badu.  I just can’t wait for it to be summer so I can throw on a scarf, some obnoxious jewellery and feel flawless!

Hi. Do you know where I can buy scarves like the one in the picture?

Hey Tunrayo! I use old winter scarves that aren't too heavy! Silk and Satin scarves work really well too as they wont rub against your hair and cause breakage. Try Primark, Etsy, E-bay or even Asos 🙂 I usually buy cheap neck scarves too and just modify them into a turban or head tie!x
