Life Comes At You Fast.
When life gives you lemons you make lemonade as the
famous saying goes, and whether it’s because graduation is looming and my best
friend of life is flying in all the way from Chicago just to see me collect my
degree, but I am feeling optimistic and full of life. Things have worked out
very much differently to how I would have imagined it to be sixth months ago,
and things on the Architecture job front have fallen through in Liverpool, but
surprisingly, I’m not sad (well anymore that is) because something in my heart
is telling me it may be for the best. So I’m moving back to London.
I’m excited to be able to see my family more often, go
back to (and get more involved with) my church, hang out with all my friends
and just be in a more familiar environment again. As much as I enjoyed my time
in the north west, change feels good for once and I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my life.
So many good memories were had during my two years in
Liverpool like:
- Meeting new
people and being able to embrace new cultures and new food such as Bangladeshi,
Romanian, Filipino, Malaysian, Greek, and so many more. - Getting to
travel around Italy with some very special people. - Spending days
(and nights) working my butt off and getting better with each submission. - Finding quiet
spots to drink coffee and journal (my recommendations for a day in Liverpool
are here.) - Being taught by
some of the kindest most considerate architects ever. - And of course, smashing my degree! And achieving my Part II qualification.
So here’s to a new chapter in this story of my life and all the change to come!

Good luck with everything! I hope we can actually meet next time I'm over there, whenever that happens. 🙂

Congratulations again Sade!! New beginnings are usually pretty scary, but in hindsight (when things have fallen into place), we usually realise that we didn't need to be so afraid. Here's to you conquering, cheers!
