Nothing quite beats the feeling of coming back home, even only for a day or two. It wasn’t until my late teens that I realised what an incredible city London is, and every time I go back to the Midlands, I get an insatiable longing for the hustle and bustle of Regent street and the wonderful hidden Cafe’s that line Soho and Covent Garden. I came back home for what i’d call a flying visit to catch up with my family and treat my sister to some Breakfast and a day walking around London, just to enjoy the atmosphere and of course play with our cameras! We set off bright and early and at about 9am after trotting to the infamous Breakfast Club and seeing the huge queue, we decided to walk around to find anywhere that served something break-fast-y that wasn’t beans on toast. Eventually we found Bills, which is incidentally making the rounds through the London blogger-sphere, and with good reason too! The staff were super friendly and helpful, plus the food we had was mouth-wateringly good! I highly recommend their Buttermilk Pancakes! I’d boldly say they were probably the best i’ve had in a long time.
You sort of forget how beautiful simple things like shop fronts, flowers and little details are, so I made a conscious effort to look out for small things that were dotted along various streets. As an Architecture student I can’t tell you how bored I am of seeing modern glass-glass-glass-with-a-bit-of-metal facades, and it was so nice to see the back streets of Soho lined with old brick. No trip with my sister is complete without a quick stop to Camden for some ‘Bang Bang’ chicken and a wander around the stalls for some bargain jewellery.
A rather picture heavy post, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless and I hope you all have a blessed Easter if you’re celebrating it! If not, have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful pictures! I walk through Soho to get to work and see something different in it every day. I'm also the opposite to you. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, so whilst I love the city, I start to miss fresh air and silence! When I'm trying to sleep at my parents', it's so quiet, I can hear the blood in my ears. x
