DRESS – BERSHKA | SHOES – TOPSHOP | BAG* – HARVEY NICHOLS
Sometimes it’s nice to dress comfortably, i think with the rise of blogging it’s easy to feel overshadowed clothing wise and feel like you’re boring because everything nowadays is so bright, glittery and trendy (I feel so old saying the word trendy) and it’s easy to get sucked into it all, but like i’ve mentioned in my Investment Wardrobe series, the older I get, the more I focus on clothing that I can get the most wear out of. I love the odd piece of kitsch jewellery but when it comes to dressing I strive to buy things that are easily layer-able and trans-seasonal. Maybe in a few years when my base wardrobe is complete i’ll begin treating myself to a few bolder items (I have a bright red coat on my wish list), but for now i’ll happily keep plodding along with my affordable and sometimes vintage wares.
I bought this striped Bershka mini shift dress in their sale for about £10 I think and it’s one of the best £10’s i’ve ever spent as i’ve worn it so much. I’ve worn it layered with a midi skirt and also with tailored trousers, and i’ve worn it with a rainbow of various tights. It’s just an easy piece to wear and something I really enjoy having in my wardrobe.
With that said, anyone else feeling the pressures of blogging image wise? Let me know your thoughts below!

I know exactly what you mean! I think there is a lot of pressure to look a particular fashiony sort of way. Ive recently deleted all of my posts with the intention to start fresh because I didnt feel like anything was very relevant to me any more. I also study Fashion Buying and Merchandising at Uni and its such a well dressed course, everyone turns up looking really well put together so when youre having a bad hair/outfit/face day you really feel it! I love your blog, keep up the lovely posts! Theyre always my favourites to read! Catherine xx
I love this post and everything about it. Your outfit is simple but striking in form and colour. Something that you could wear anywhere and still look effortlessly stylish – not an easy thing to achieve. Your hair…….jeeeeeeeez!! Your hair is beautiful as are you xComfort means a lot to me. In my view comfort provides a woman with grace and elegance in a natural way. There is little more unsexy than a woman who looks uncomfortable in what she is wearing is there? Then there is longevity. Your comment on getting the most out of clothing also resonates with me – I dislike throwawayism and so I like to but things that will last me – things that will follow me through life and collect the stories I encounter with me. Love this blog post so much!
You look gorgeous here Sade and I love the vintage effect on your pictures! xxwww.lurchhoundloves.comhttp://www.bloglovin.com/blog/4995777
i definitely feel the pressure to be dressing up crazy for every single outfit post but i wear everyday casual clothes and i won't change that just so i can get more comments or likes or whatever! i love your style :)love katy @ THE RAWRDROBE ♡
Really love the dress!OXANAMUA | Beauty & Fashion & Lifestyle | NEW POST!
Anytime I feel pressured, I take a break from it to recoup and use that time to remember why I started my blog in the first place. I follow your blog because I love your personal style, weather you are wearing 'in trend' items or not, I admire what YOU have to offer! xx Fei
definitely felt that way for london fashion week! you pick an outfit you like and you almost feel like its no good if no one asks you for a picture…really sad innit…but then you have to remember who is wearing the outfit. ME. and who am I dressing for ME and then you can leave all the pressure to someone else. also i find a few people think more clashing their outfit is then its considered "fashionable" for some people it works for them because its their character but hey dress for you! I like your dress and the bag is lovely and love the filter on the pics! x
Love the simplicity of this!! You look great Sade <3 xoxo♡Kudzai || NEWKIDBLOGS
the bloggersphere is uber annoying atm anyways love the dress/hair <3
Oh I always think I dress way too boring in comparison to other bloggers but I accepted long ago that it's just my personal style to keep things simple, and why change? I love the way you dress Sade, you definitely got a good buy from Bershka. I absolutely love your hair too, it sounds like a random compliement but I love the shape of your cut x

Lovely outfit, lady! You can't go wrong with b&w stripes, and that bag is a gorgeous pop of color. 🙂 xo
I'm with you this, I've started buying things that I know will last me a long time rather than things that will be out of style in one season as it just seems like a waste of money that I don't really have to spare and that I should probably spend on more important things, does this mean I'm a grown up now? Aha but seriously I do feel the pressure to create a more exciting image however I genuinely don't believe a lot of bloggers would actually wear a lot of their outfits outside of their houses/gardens (fair play to the ones who actually do) but I would actually rather see posts like yours where I know that it's an outfit you've worn to go to work or for coffee etc because to me that is actual style, not putting on 12 outfits a day that you be too afraid to even pop to the shops in.And after that essay, you look lovely in that outfit, the dress really suits you.RosalieJayne

I can definitely understand! But I also like blogs who posts outfits that are wearable on an everyday basis so you can draw inspiration from, so it's a happy mix of the two :)Loving your hair here, it's so gorgeous!Saadiya xwww.thatgirlsaadiya.blogspot.com
That's why I try to focus more on personal wearable style on my blog. Also remember your blog is your blog…what's the use of all your effort if you're only trying to imitate others?xxThy Bliss Calls
