“Because sometimes you’ve got to switch it up!”
I think i’ve reached my peak as a black blogger because i can finally tick the “I got free hair” section off my wishlist (i kid!). I’m not about to turn full weave and wig blogger on you guys though as it’s something i do when i want to switch it up from my daily bun and get a little creative. Irresistible Me were kind enough to get into contact with me and ask if i’d like to try out their clip in extensions. I said of course! Because 1.) When i straighten my hair, i’d prefer it with a little more thickness and length to do certain styles like milkmaid braids, or a sleek all back long pony and 2.) Although i like to switch it up, i absolutely hate anything being on my head that isn’t the hair that grows from my own scalp, so clip in’s were the best option, plus I had seen Lesley from Fresh Lengths blog about her Irresistible Me experience and I was curious!
First things first, I’ve got to say the customer service on their hand has been phenomenal. I realise as a blogger, it’s probably very different to the normal customer service but it was a pleasure working with Madison from the Irresistible Me team. She was extremely knowledgable and helpful and showed me how to match the correct colour, length and even which style would be best suited to my hair type. I chose the 20″ Royal Remy extensions in 200g, which came with ten pieces, (1 x 4 clips, 2 x 3 clips, 5 x 2 clips and 2 x 1 clip). The four clip is the ‘pièce de résistance’ and where the bulk of the thickness comes from. You could probably even just wear the four clip alone just for bumping up the volume if it’s the same length as your hair.
The extensions took about three weeks to be shipped, and bearing in mind that Irresistible Me is a US based company, I don’t think that’s too bad for timing. The hair arrived in a cute black box with a plastic covering indicating two sides, one to be opened to check if the hair is up to your standards, and the second part where the bundles are, to be opened if you’re satisfied (And don’t want to return / exchange it). I thought that was a really good idea as there has been many a time where i’ve bought something as i’ve been unable to exchange or return it. The quality of the hair is good, the extensions are thick and I love that the colour has a hint of brown in it, which matches my hair well (when both are straight!) but i’ve also worn it in a sleek bun, and even curled with flexirods which allows it to blend much better with straightened natural hair! (Bare in mind, my hair had been very lazily straightened in the pictures hehe!)
Although i really like the extensions, I do wish there were two of the four clips as it’s the easiest one to install, but that might just be me being picky! All in all, Irresistible me was a pleasure to work with and the hair curls well, straightens well and washes well, with a little shedding but thats to be expected.
What are your thoughts on clip in’s? Yay or Nay? Or are you more of a sew in kinda person?

They look lovely on you Sade <3! Definitely know what you mean about wishing there were two 4 piece clips, they are so easy to wear x
Thank you Lesley! You wear them SO SO well! xo
oooooo looking hot girl! I tried clip-ins one time and because my hair is really thick too it didn't look right! These look fab though!www.virgosandkisses.com
Thanks love, oh man I'm so jealous of you! My hair is so thin when it's straight that it looks horrible haha! xo
Clip ins for the win! You blended them with perfection! Does Irresistible Me have kinky/curly extensions as well? Thanks for sharing!KLP @ http://www.savingourstrands.com
Thank you! They don't unfortunately! I have yet to find anyone that does a good blow out texture or type 4a-ish texture that looks super natural and is UK based ;__; will update if i do though!xo
Gorgeous!! You look great with and without them. I've used Nazuri Curls clip-ins for years – I have straight ones and curly ones. You should do a vlog on how you wear them.Berry Dakara Blog
Thank you Berry! I'll look into Nazuri as i'd like some kinky ones too! I'm in the midst of saving up for a smaller blog style camera so i'll let you know if i do!xo
I was actually thinking about this recently, because I'm transitioning but I'm tired of wearing braids and would love a weave – but I hate closures. I'll look into this. How often would you have to straighten your hair? KacheeTee.com 4 Perfectly Do-able Traditions for (Young) Couples
Oooh if you were transitioning i'd probably recommend a wig instead to be honest because if you straighten too regularly whilst transitioning, you risk breaking your hair at the line of demarcation. I usually straighten my hair once or twice a year for a trim, but lately i've been thinking about doing it more often for some reason!x
I've never tried clip ins. I've gotten a sew in ONCE and realized that it just wasn't for me. I could not get used to not being able to access my scalp or not feeling air on it. LOL! So maybe in the future I should try clip ins as an alternative. I love the way that look on you!www.est1987.net
LOL! I hate sew in's too! They look so pretty but feel weird on my head, clip ins are a good alternative!xo
